FRI Feb 16th was a HUGE day!!
My 1st-ever Photo Finish win, a huge ESPN Bet Parlay, and a lot of decisions about what to do next!
Let’s break it down:
Day 12 (Feb. 16th, 2024) Results:
Day 12 started off with a Bankroll of $174.75, 1 Photo Finish Horse and 7 Zed Run Horses.
The “Sweepstakes” Casinos are an automatic daily bonus, easy enough to start there.
Sweeps Casinos:
Finally, we get a Chumba Casino Blackjack hand win after 4 days of losing! The $3.39 I picked up playing these daily bonuses were just the beginning of a record setting day!

Pokerstars:
Another quick appetizer here on Pokerstars — I won the daily bonus and hit $0.47 on my 3 Free Spins of a “Classic” Slot for a total of $1.47!

FanDuel Sportsbook/Casino:
The Daily Rewards are pretty much useless, ($0.00) and I also lost my $2 Racing Bet today on a Horse that came in like 6th. It happens.
FanDuel was running a nice little “Happy Hour” promo that picked us up $1.46.
The only Boosts they were offering yesterday were a weird Bill Simmons about the NBA Play-In Games and then a bunch of Parlay stuff… not today, Satan.

DraftKings Sportsbook/Casino
You’re not gonna get a record setting day without hitting some DK Bets!
I “middled” the CAR-ARI Hockey game to perfection (see below) with a CAR ML and U 7.5 Goal Parlay for a $3.15 profit.
I also figured I was a dead square on the SDSU -6 boosted bet I took; but that’s another $2.67 victory!
These two bets were the only ones I made on DK… take the money and run!
DraftKings — up $5.82
Zed Run: (sucks)
Since there aren’t enough Races in the Lobby for my five C4 Horses, I guess I have to grab a couple C2 or C3… Maybe C1 if the price comes down after the EVO crap. I don’t see myself adding more than 20-25 Zed Horses for the duration of this Challenge, they are such a grind.
In a bad way.

I HIT MY FIRST WIN ON PHOTO FINISH!!
I entered a “Benchmark Allowance” which means that no Horses above a 49 FF would be allowed to enter. This fact got rid of many ‘better’ Horses and with a field of 5 (2 of which being Right Turn Specialists), I had a very realistic shot at winning.
The CROWN stimulus for entering was set roughly at $6 — and I turned my entry of -$8.75 into Winnings of $18.90
$6 – $8.75 + $18.90 = $16.15 profit
Remember, in the ‘worst case scenario’ here, I was only going to lose $2.75 at most. Awesome “pot odds” in a Race that we should be very competitive in for the next few months.
I was ‘riding high’ off of this win all day and I put in an absurd (and probably irresponsible) amount of DERBY bets throughout the day. I honestly can’t go back and recap everything, but just know I lost about $2 in the process haha.
Overall, our official tally here stands at “up $17.28”, but please keep in mind because we are holding CROWN and factoring that into USD each day – there is going to be fluctuation here that I can’t report each and every day.
Awesome 1st win. Awesome game. Can’t wait to keep playing more & more.

ESPN Bet

Here’s a recap of my smaller moves throughout the day:
- lost $1 Slot playing Daily Bonus
- won $0.37 on 10 Bonus Spins from that Daily Bonus
- received $8 in “Sports Betting” cash back (see below)
- won $2.67 on Rory McIlroy to make cut (live bet)
- won $5.00 on casino cash back from yesterday’s bonus
- And..
I laid out my thinking for my biggest Parlay bet of the Challenge in the tweet below:
Because I had a bunch of cashback to burn through AND I was getting $2.40 in value just to place a $10 bet; I figured “Hey, let’s go for it”.
And BANG BANG – It’s a hit!!
Teuvo comes through for me and when you combine this Parlay with everything mentioned above, I ended up $56 for the day on ESPN! That’s literally almost triple the money that I started this Challenge with.
It’s an awesome win and I have to figure out how to re-distribute that money over the weekend. Hopefully, I’ll be able to buy another PF Horse, add some $DEZ, add some traditional crypto holdings, and keep all of my Sportsbook Balances nice and high to start to increase our unit size slightly.

It’s a simple ‘hodl’ day for DNA Racing.
I’ll probably add to my $DEZ holdings based on my ESPN winner above.

Day 12 Summary:
Today was an absolute dream hitting a $15 Race on PF along with a $50 parlay on ESPN Bet allows for a record-breaking day that is honestly going to be hard to top at the amounts that I’m playing.
I honestly did not imagine I would have such great Results so early in this Challenge, and it just goes to show that you don’t need to be playing junk 10-leg parlays to get meaningful Results.
I’ve gone from $19 to $258 in just 12 Days and while I’ve had 2 major hits ($50+) in that timeframe, it’s also due to putting myself in the right positions as well.
Definitely a better process than just trying to put in a +1300 Parlay and praying that it hits.
Regardless, I’m grateful for the luck so far and for those of you who have read or interacted with my posts so far. It’s still early (lol) and it’s a very exciting time for me as we take those next steps tomorrow!
