Day 1: 365 Day Bankroll Builder Challenge

Welcome to Day 1 of the FUD Guru Web-3-NFT-Gaming / Web-2-Gambling Bankroll Builder Challenge!

Yes, that’s a mouthful … that’s why you’ll see “365 Day Bankroll Builder Challenge” as the title from now on.

The inspiration for this challenge came from the fact that I kept putting in stupid parlays on my DraftKings account and I decided to get serious about building some assets in DNA Racing and in Photo Finish for the next year. Also, I wanted to take something “evil” from the 5 Zed Run Horses I accidentally kept in my Wallet and turn them into something “good”!

I’ll also use Web 2 Gambling promos to build our bankroll and hopefully fund these purchases.

But seriously.. first off. Zed Run sucks — they are failing so so hard right now at building a remotely functioning marketplace and/or improving their game in any way. Their leadership doesn’t even talk to anybody. I’m going to include a sentence about how bad Zed Run sucks in every single day of this challenge because that’s how bad Zed Run sucks.

Okay, got it? Let’s get started then.

Day 0 Staring Balances:

This won’t be an ‘ongoing’ section, but I wanted to set the stage for where I’m starting at for everyone:

Zed Run:

  • 5 Zed Run Horses
  • $0.00 WETH
  • $1.63 ZED

DNA Racing:

  • 0 Genesis Cores
  • $0.00 DEZ

Photo Finish:

  • 0 PF Horses
  • $0.00 CROWN

“Sweepstakes” Casinos:

  • Stake.US : $0.00
  • Pulsz: $0.65
  • Chumba: $0.00

“Traditional” US Sportsbook/Casinos:

  • DraftKings: $5.00
  • Fanduel: $5.00
  • Pokerstars: $7.40
  • TVG: $0.00

TOTAL:

$19.68 + 5 Zed Horses

Day 1 (Feb. 5th, 2024) Results:

Okay, so I started with just under $20.00 and 5 Zed Horses in our Wallet.

The “Sweepstakes” Casinos are an automatic daily bonus, easy enough to start there.

Sweeps Casinos:

Pulsz gave $0.60 and Stake & Chumba gave $1.00 respectively. After a few Blackjack hands on Pulsz, 10 rounds of 10 cent Plinko on Stake and a $1 Blackjack hand on Chumba, here were the results:

  • Pulsz – up $0.40
  • Stake – up $0.97
  • Chumba – up $0.00

Pokerstars:

Pokerstars has a nice ‘Play $1 get a Casino Bonus” feature going on – I hit my $1 roulette spin (Red) and actually hit a ‘big win’ on the 3 Bonus Spins I got for a whopping total of:

Pokerstars – up $3.66

Fanduel:

FanDuel was the unfortunate part of the challenge on Day 1. They offered a ‘2nd or 3rd’ credit back at Parx Racetrack (Race 10) and I had $5 on the #7 Horse who was absolutely crushed and came in like 8th. Never had a shot… unfortunate.

I also got 10 spins on the weird Gronk slot machine which paid out $0.00. (?)

FanDuel – down $5.00

DraftKings:

DK was offering two 50% Boosts which I put our entire ‘bankroll’ into.

$2.50 on Warriors to win (paid $6.62)

$2.50 on Kansas -4.5 (they lost in OT against K-State).

DraftKings – up $1.62

Zed Run: (sucks)

I actually had 2 XP Boosts when starting the challenge, maybe that’s a bit unfair maybe not. But I earned another through jamming into the repetitive and monotonous and fun-in-no-way Free Races and earned a 3rd XP Boost.

The profit from those XP Boosts allowed me to buy Zed Horse #6 (Hunch), a terrible Horse who has never won a single Race. Overall, I ended up down less than a dollar and I’ve got a new Horse to farm with

Zed Run – down $0.82 , +1 Horse

Day 1 Summary:

In total, the Challenge Bankroll stands at:

  • $20.51
  • 6 Zed Horses

I’m up $0.83 and 1 Zed Horse after Day 1 and if my Parx Horse could’ve either won or been in the money, this would’ve been a great day. Hopeful that with the Super Bowl coming up I’ll be able to jam in some awesome Promos and not get too carried away with anything too risky!
