Day 17: 365 Day Bankroll Builder Challenge

Remember yesterday when I was swearing off of PF Wagering forever?

Well…. arbitrage is arbitrage. And I saw some better opportunities on Day 17. Combine that with winning another PF Race and it was a wonderful day for the Bankroll Builder Challenge.

Here are the Details!

Day 17 (Feb. 21st, 2024) Results:

Day 17 started off with a Bankroll of $425.47, 2 Photo Finish Horses and 7 Zed Run Horses.

The “Sweepstakes” Casinos are an automatic daily bonus, easy enough to start there.

Sweeps Casinos:

Everything was back on track here with the Sweeps Casinos.

I won my Chumba Blackjack hand, Stake came in 1 cent behind the full $1.00 bonus I get there, and Pulsz struggled a bit again with a $0.10 reward.

  • Pulsz – up $0.10
  • Stake – up $0.99
  • Chumba – up $2.00

Pokerstars:

It was a nice little day on Pokerstars again on Day 17. I hit my $1 Roulette spin and got 5 Free Spins (one of the best outcomes) for another $1.93 in profit on their “Classic” slot.

Pokerstars – up $2.93

FanDuel Sportsbook/Casino:

So on Day 16, I told you a story about how I was driving to daycare and missed Wagering on the “Race of the Day”.

Well, on Day 17 the “Race of the Day” was scheduled for like 9:25 PM EST or something absurd like that. Way past my bedtime… no action. Lol.

FanDuel — up $0.00

DraftKings Sportsbook/Casino:

Hit both of my bets on DraftKings!

  • Liverpool & O 2.5 Goals (+$0.64)
  • Over 0.5 Goals 1st 10 min – BOS-EDM (+$1.50)

I’ve thought about increasing my unit size on DraftKings… but it’s hard when there’s Promos that are ‘good-but-not-great’.

I’m going to start chasing Crowns (DK Crowns — not the PF kind) with some DFS Entries tomorrow – and I think I’m going to include those Results in the study; even though DFS is incredibly variable.

DraftKings — up $2.14

Zed Run: (sucks)

May or may not have accidentally withdrawn around $3 in $ZED to fund my PF gambling habit. Thought about replacing it & then I was like eh… I’ll make it back someday.

Zed Run — down $3.41

Photo Finish Live:

Okay, so after yesterday’s rant and losing Picks — I was completely out of DERBY.

But I want to show you what I saw:

https://photofinish.live/races/season0012-custom-storm-cloud-trail-841

We had a field of 8 in an LDF where 3 Horses were either S or S+ and matched preferences, 1 horse was an A+ matched preferences, and 4 Horses were just all kinds of nonsense-not-matched preferences. Including some A’s and A-‘s.

I knew I wanted to get some Place money down — so I bet on the #3, the #6, and the #7 to Place. The result came in 7-3-6 and just like that I had made $2.06 in PF Wagering! Finally!

That brings us to Race #2:

https://photofinish.live/races/season0012-custom-farmers-trail-1746

It’s an RTS with a field of 6 Horses. There are

  • 3 S Horses that strongly match RTS
  • an S+ that lightly matches RTS
  • an S RTF
  • and an A+ LTS.

However, there was a massive 800 DERBY Place Bet on the #4. Thinking I had an arbitrage opportunity, I went with 3 Place Bets on the 3 of 4 competitors (#1, #2, #3) — and again; hit the top 2 Spots for $4.86 worth of DERBY profit.

I wanted to go in-depth and provide these links because there is definitely easy money out there in some of these PF Fields — I just can’t force myself and try to cover 6/12 Horses in bigger Races because I think I know something.

I’m very dumb – but I’m going to continue to look for these obvious opportunities to use a little arbitrage and pass on the Races that have a bit more ‘risk’ associated with them.

And oh yeah — I won ANOTHER PF Race. Astral Avenger is absolutely on fire with 3 of his past 5 Races coming in with the W’s!

If you’re not racing your lower FF Horses in “Benchmark” Races; you need to check your strategy.

I’ve raced him just over breakeven ROI in terms of DERBY alone over the past 2 Weeks which obviously amounts for some huge CROWN profits. I’m hoping to make another purchase (will be a foal or female) soon to keep growing.

I’ll also say that just from these initial entries, I was able to stake 132.57 CROWN for the season — something I’m very excited to keep my eye on as Season 12 progresses.

Photo Finish — up $59.01

ESPN Bet:

I lost on my $1 slot, but I was able to spin my 10 Bonus Spins for a total of $1.84 to make up the difference!

ESPN BET – up $0.84

DNA Racing:

It’s a simple ‘hodl’ day for DNA Racing.

DNA — up to $1.64

Coinbase:

Going to go back to the ‘listing the Balances’ method here:

  • SOL $9.71 (5% APY)
  • MATIC $5.16 (2.4% APY)
  • ATOM $4.85 (9.2% APY)

Coinbase — up $0.11

Day 17 Summary:

My insistence on continuing to learn how I can make Photo Finish Wagering for me feels good… definitely better than rage quitting.

$59 out of $66 of today’s profits were related to Photo Finish, and I do want to continue to figure out where my unit size should be on the Sportsbooks without potentially messing up my Profits.

I say this a lot – but I never thought I’d be having $60+ profit days in this Challenge… it reminds of 2021 waking up to Zed Stud Fees in my Wallet; except I’m not putting up Podcasts about how shitty the team is.

Total for Day 16: UP $66.35

In total, the Challenge Bankroll stands at:

  • $491.82
  • 2 Photo Finish Horses
  • 7 Zed Horses
