Day 4: 365 Day Bankroll Builder Challenge

Welcome to Day 4 of the 365 Day Bankroll Builder Challenge!

This was an incredible day for the FUD Guru challenge. I hit an insanely lucky IRL Horse after a few days of bad beats. Was it “smart”? I’m not sure, but it worked and we boosted our portfolio of assets in a big way.

Let’s get to it!

Day 4 (Feb. 8th, 2024) Results:

Day 4 started off with a Bankroll off $23.09 and 6 Zed Run Horses.

It’s been slow going so far… but that’s about to change on Day 4!

The “Sweepstakes” Casinos are an automatic daily bonus, easy enough to start there.

Sweeps Casinos:

It’s a great day when all 3 sweeps casinos come through with a positive number — and that’s what we had today!

The biggest influencer is Chumba as they give a $1 bonus & when you get your $1 win, the $2 profit is great.

Getting $4.02 for free is a good start to our day!

  • Pulsz – up $0.90
  • Stake – up $1.12
  • Chumba – up $2.00

Pokerstars:

PokerStars also offered a bit of extra fun today.

After losing a $1 Roulette spin, I was given a $1 “spin and go” ticket and I cashed 2 other $1 SNGs I had in “Rewards”.

I lost my first 2 attempts — playing quite poor poker as I’m known to do & losing an all-in A-8 to A-9.

But my 3rd attempt rewarded a massive 5x winner going up against 3 people. EZ

Pokerstars – up $4.00

FanDuel Sportsbook/Casino:

Starting off with the weird Gronk slot, we took an easy/free $0.74

The “Bet Back” race was late at night at 10 PM EST & I bet on the favorite “Catcus Kevin” who took 2nd which is a $2 bonus so 0 won, 0 lost.

I also took a +150 boost for $1.50 with Lebron and Jokic to have 20/6 each. They did that – for more positive progress and a super fun day all the way around here.

FanDuel — up $2.99

DraftKings Sportsbook/Casino

I placed a $1 bet on JT, Homa, Spieth and Matsuyama to make the cut. Homa has us on dangerous ground of losing this one

I’ll be coming back to DraftKings shortly in this article — stay tuned.

DraftKings — down $1.00

Zed Run: (sucks)

Before I start this section, I want to congratulate the Zed team on once again coming up with a bunch of deadlines they have no chance of hitting. Keep it up guys.

I made some moves on the Zed Run market today!

I sold my two C2 Horses that were in Age 3 after finding two other C2’s that are in Age 1 but mis priced at .002.

That trade allowed for a few XP sales to offset the OS fees.

Zed Run — up $1.35

DK Horse

Here We Go!!!

Over the first 3 days, I’ve been critical of my own performance for being too willing to take risks, but on Day 4 a risk pays off in a major way!

I started looking at DK Horse in additional to FanDuel Racing for Bet Back Specials and decided to start with the 3 Races on DK.

The first race at Gulfstream was a 3rd place behind 2 30/1 long shots for $0.00 (after the bet back). The 2nd Race was a $2 loss.

And the 3rd Race…

FanDuel has “rankings” of the top 3 Horses based on Number Fire. Whatever that means. For this 3rd Race (Fair Grounds 7) I decided to check those before betting on DK Horse because it seemed this Maiden was wide open.

FanDuel had the “best” Horse (Rock’n A Halo) which was a Morning Line 8/1. When I put my bet in, it was listed at 18/1 on DK Horse. Then it went off at 28/1. And then it won!

I had $2 on that ticket for a $55.20 profit and we were off to the Web 3 Races!

Photo Finish LIVE

I didn’t quite know what to do with my newfound Bankroll — but immediately knew I wanted to browse the PF marketplace.

When I got there, I found (what I thought) was an interesting little guy. An A- LTF at Age 2 right by the floor at 2,500 DERBY ($32.81 after fees in USD)

I decided to just jump on it — it’s gotten varying levels of praise or hate, but when the GOAT Bryce (Sangudo) says you got a “fantastic upside” floor play, I’ll live with it — even if PF is just paying him to be nice to me.

The Horse is “Astral Avenger” and I’m just excited to be figuring out how to navigate this CROWN/DERBY experience, especially in terms of this challenge.

Some challenge housekeeping to take care of:

  • – $40 moved from DK Horse to PF
  • – $15 moved from DK Horse to DraftKings

Which brings us back to a few more DK bets to close the day!

DraftKings Sportsbook

With some infused cash, I couldn’t help myself but put a few bigger Super Bowl bets into the mix.

I played $10 on the “Happy Hour” boost at +200 for both teams to score a Rushing TD. McCaffery is unbelievable and Pacheco runs so so angry (as everyone has been saying), I think it’s a good chance for a hit.

I also placed the “Lebron instant match” on a $5 San Fran moneyline bet (yes – against Mahomes) and followed that up with the $5 Free Bet on Purdy O 3.5 Rushing Attempts (give me those kneel downs!)

Remember, these count as being “down” until they are settled.

DraftKings Part 2 — down $15.00

Day 4 Summary:

Total for Day 3: Up $19.47 , +1 Photo Finish Horse

In total, the Challenge Bankroll stands at:

  • $42.56
  • 1 Photo Finish Horse
  • 6 Zed Horses
  • $20.40 pending DK Super Bowl Wagers

HUGE day for the Bankroll Builder Challenge! We gained just under $20 & have an Age 2 Photo Finish Horse to play with.

Stay tuned for the 1st PF Race announcement and more Wagering tales on Day 5!
