Day 9: 365 Day Bankroll Builder Challenge

Welcome to Day 9 of the 365 Day Bankroll Builder Challenge!

Well, after a record day back on the 12th, I knew a bad one was possible…

Let’s see just how bad it turned out:

Day 9 (Feb. 13th, 2024) Results:

Day 8 started off with a Bankroll off $133.09, 1 Photo Finish Horse and 6 Zed Run Horses.

The “Sweepstakes” Casinos are an automatic daily bonus, easy enough to start there.

Sweeps Casinos:

Another losing day for Chumba — and an average day for Stake.US and Pulsz leaves us at $1.91 positive out of the gate.

  • Pulsz – up $0.80
  • Stake – up $1.91
  • Chumba – up $0.00

Pokerstars:

After this week’s insane Roulette luck, it was another $1 loss here on Pokerstars. Luckily, our 3 Free Spins on the “Classic” slot allowed us to gain back $0.76 for a smaller loss.

Pokerstars – down $0.24

FanDuel Sportsbook/Casino:

There’s less to talk about these days on FanDuel after the “Big Game”.

The Daily Rewards are completely useless ($0.00) and I had the 2nd Place Horse in the “Mardi Gras” Race at the Fair Grounds — meaning another $0.00 there.

Since I hit yesterday’s boost, I thought I’d try again with SGA, Tatum, and Giannis needing to score 25 PTS for me to cash… but Giannis let me down with 23, instead.

FanDuel — down $2.00

DraftKings Sportsbook/Casino

DraftKings has had interesting options lately — I parlayed Man City with U 5.5 Cards in a rare ‘football’ bet for me and came out ahead $1.71

However, as the day’s narrative is going, I threw it away on Butler ML for a -$2.00 loss. I’m definitely not a sharp when it comes to NCAA Hoops right now.

DraftKings — down $0.29

Zed Run: (sucks)

Not much to say here, but we did buy another Horse.

It’s hilarious that Zed has made their own Marketplace less useful by only allowing USD transactions in a (kind of) Web 3 Game.

Horses are getting listed cheaper on the Zed site, but still not selling because they add so many fees that it is still cheaper to use OS.

Weird. Dumb. Oh well.

Zed Run — down $3.05 , up 1 Horse

Photo Finish Live

I decided to jump into a $1k DERBY Handicap race with my LTF Donkey, and let me tell you that seems like a bad, bad, bad idea having watched the race.

I think you can actually be so outclassed in a Handicap that the Handicapper himself can’t even save you — and that’s what it felt like here.

I’ll be in Benchmark Races only from now on, although it may honestly be better just to put some cash into CROWN every once in awhile. Not sure I’m built to play the ponies.

Also – it’s hilarious to get the PF Retweets when I’m tweeting about how bad Zed sucks. The volume on those Paid numbers for PF are absolute insanity and they should have an account dedicated to comparing their volume to Zed’s every day.

Photo Finish — down $8.96

ESPN Bet

The sole savior of the day was ESPN Bet — I hit a $9.80 profit on my $1 daily spin, which is two days in a row and just shocking to me.

I also got $5 Casino Cashback which I turned into $3 playing Blackjack.

The last thing in my Promos was a Free Bet which I put onto UVA -6.5 against Pitt… who then crushed the Cavaliers outright. Being local, I thought this would be where Pitt’s season fell apart; but they just seem to be picking up steam.

ESPN BET – up $12.80

Day 9 Summary:

Well…. I did it. I managed to stay out of the negatives. All of this effort, time, and typing… for $0.17. Ouch.

Hopefully, I will learn from my PF mistakes and I can figure out a way to survive over there while stacking up more CROWN.

Total for Day 9: Up $0.17

In total, the Challenge Bankroll stands at:

  • $133.26
  • 1 Photo Finish Horse
  • 7 Zed Horses
